I began to oil paint shortly after the turn of the century, having been a Design Architect for 30 years in which time I had acquired considerable free hand rendering skills and a knowledge of color theory.  My painting interest, however, turned to Impressionism with varying degrees of complexity, often performed with palette knives.  My interest remained with the subject of architecture and the built envirionment, however, I began to experiment with landscapes and people in relaxed settings.  Painting images of my travels and people I have met in everyday settings were soon added to my agenda.
